Why we’re involved with housing
There is no clearer example of the 1%’s dominion over the 99% than the control of our homes. The banks, many of which are deemed “too big to fail” and received multi-billion-dollar bailouts, foreclose on our homes in a predatory fashion, oftentimes without holding the original mortgage. Because housing itself is a human right and because 99% of Americans won’t ever be bailed out by the government, we are here to help and to organize victims of this nation’s banking atrocity to take action on their own behalf and on behalf of others similarly situated.
