Thanksgiving pot luck!

if just 20 of us would make a decent sized dish (doesn't have to be 50 portions) and bring them to the People's Plaza on Wednesday before Thanksgiving (the 23rd, I think) , we could serve a nice hot homemade meal to those who are occupying.   I'd be glad to create a fb page or we can create a list here, so we all don't bring mac and cheese... hehe.   let me know your thoughts and if you'd like to participate

As long as there's no psuedo-native cultural appropriation, and that we recognize that Thanksgiving is a sorrowful time for many native americans, I'd love to have a potluck at the plaza

I'm in!  And yes, let's make it an "Occupy Thanksgiving" that celebrates a new way of being in oneness--unlike the settlers who stole land and destroyed the Native Americans who helped them. I will make pecan pies!

Occupy Thanksgiving, I like it!!!   I've been talking to Lance. We'd like to have it before the holiday, but looking at the weather, I'm not sure how wise that is...

looks like this is going to be a fun event. I'm excited to be part of it!  I'll only be able to stay from 11-12 due to family obligations (yeah, I know, but I already made them adjust the time by 2 hours so I could be there at all ). Glitter/Samantha is helping me coordinate with the folks on the ground to pull this off.  I'm sure it'll be a little chaotic getting set up, but once we get it all set up, it'll be time to get your grub on!
