I've posted a closed, sticky topic on every teams boards to help us facilitate the organizing of the contact information/team information for everyone. This way, we'll know who we need to talk to on what team for X
issue. This will help us streamline the process of internal communication/notification, as well as prevent any one person from being responsible for holding all the contact info or having to call/reach people to solve problems.
Being that the topic is closed, the only ones able to edit them would be the team lead(s), to prevent inaccurate information. If your team does not have a team lead, and you wish to step up to that task, we more than welcome you to. Just be sure that you understand what is required of a Team Lead (or Team Coordinator)*thanks Liz for that nomenclature suggestion* I put a general idea of what's required in the media board, but here it is again......
Let me also clarify, because I know there's been some misunderstanding in the term "Team Lead". By being a Team Lead, you're not actually the "Leader" of the team. You're more of a main point of contact. By being a Team Lead, you are just saying that you're willing to dedicate your time to helping arrange, organize, plan, enact, and assist with the tasks and duties of your team. You are saying you're willing to be there to be called upon by the other teams as a functioning, knowledgeable member of your team. By becoming a Team Lead, you will more than likely be inundated by different emails from different people, both those just wanting information, those with ideas (good and bad), inter-Occupation communication, and by those directed to you from other teams, such as (in the case of Media) reporters, interviewers, etc. You will also be asked to keep in contact with the other Team Leads of your team and the other existing teams via email, phone calls, and meetings. You'll be the first points of contacts for any issues, questions, problems, or possibilities that arise concerning your team, and you need to be able to respond to these various issues in a timely fashion.
PLEASE don't commit to this if you're not willing to be available to put the time into it. I know we all have jobs & personal lives (myself included), but if it's possible for you to work around that, while still maintaining a public/inter-Occupation presence and accomplishing the tasks at hand, then we'd love to have you. Also, I'm not against the idea of having multiple team leads for each group, to provide for redundancy in communication in case we can't get in touch with one of the other team leads.
So again, if you're up to the task, make sure the rest of your team is okay with it (i.e. a team consensus), and then just get in touch with one of us on IT and we'll get you set up from there.
