4. Ally announced a 10:00 am meeting on the plaza on Saturday the 17th of December to discuss our shared visions and future for the movement.  She will bring the coffee.

5. Eric told us of his visit to Senator Corker's office earlier today.  He spoke with some of the senators aids about our disapproval of the passing of NDAA, specially the indefinite detention American citizens.  They told him that he was mistaken about the internment of Americans and agreed to disagree.  He was told he could follow up he chose to.

7. Tripp announced that the fire marshal came down to the plaza today and shut off the electricity to the plaza and locked the electrical box.  We were told by the fire marshals that we messed with the wiring.  Some of the group chimed in that the electrical box was faulty to begin with.  Tripp urged us not to cut the padlock and that a proposal would be brought up later to address the problem.

Proposals:

1st proposal brought forth from the direct action working group.

Michael proposed to suspend the weekly allotment of 100.00 dollars to the direct action group.
He said they had an excess and would like that money to go where it is needed.
Friendly amendment for direct action to bring it back up to GA if they were to need it in the future.

Consensus: Passed

2nd proposal brought forth from IT/Media/Legal

Jason proposed that since we no longer have electricity on the plaza that we allot an amount of money to the purchase of 4 chargeable batteries that would be hooked up to a generator we already have and charged offsite.

- concerns were voiced about the cost and practicality
- some thought that we should wait until we talk to the city about getting the electric turned back on Friendly Amendments a. Authorize the purchase of two extra batteries for continuous use b. Keep power restricted to kitchen, media and IT

Consensus: Passed with both friendly amendments

3rd proposal brought by IT/Media/Legal

Jason proposed that legal meet with General Services to reimburse them for the electricity we used and that we would get our own electrician to fix the electrical box.  Jason aswered questions from the group about the cost and he estimated about 90.00 a month.

- Tripp suggested that we make the quote and not them
- concerns were voiced about pandering to General Services for electricity that as tax payers we pay for -it was mentioned that we should make it a ceremonial offering and get the media involved

Friendly Amendments
a. present them with a check
b. hire a union worker to work on the electric box c. make it a media event when we present the check

Consensus: Tabled
The proposal was tabled to be revisited in the near future after we meet with General Services on Thursday the 15th of December.

Much discussion was had and we enjoyed our democratic right to assemble!
