ANNOUNCEMENTS

Sarah: City Council working group starting, please see Sarah if you’d like to be involved.
Megan: a home in South Fulton was destroyed in a fire yesterday, the city’s fire department came and did nothing because the family had not paid the $75 fire service fee not included in their taxes. A collection was taken for the family, $130 was collected. Megan will pass the money along to the relief efforts.
Jane: the Homeless Memorial Service, for those who have passed away on the streets of Nashville is this coming Saturday, December 10 at 9 a.m. in Centennial Park.
Cara: a problem with a worm in Facebook has been reported. Don’t click on any links in chat.
Johanna: Johanna will be away next week and will visit other Occupys in Europe and would like help with stirring words to say during her time there.
The Tennessean and Nashville Public Radio are working on a story regarding ON’s finances.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
This week, $907 in donations
$5,140 total
Logistics does have a budget, but it was a one-time request of $500 and they haven’t asked for more
During the last week of the month, all working groups need to come forward and announce how their funds were used.
3 ways to give – cash, check, or online. If cash, the policy is for the donor to put the donation directly into the lockbox. No one is authorized to take the donation. 2 individuals have the keys to the lockbox on the plaza, both are responsible.
All expenditures will go through the GA’s proposal process.
WORKING GROUPS
Due to low attendance, the GA moved to a working group format for one hour. Allt hose present discussed direct action.
Topics discussed were a Caterpillar protest pros and cons, a report from Occupy Murfreesboro, and reflections on the Abandoned building protest on Saturday.
