General Discussion / Need direction for event planning
« on: November 04, 2011, 08:35:53 am »
Does anyone know who I should talk to about planning a spiral dance on the Plaza for 11-11-11?  Is there an "Events" committee separate from "Direct Action"?   And who do I talk to about forming a group of lightworkers to maintain a spiritual vibe, offer support, lead meditations, etc...?  Thanks for any direction,
Lj

Hello everyone! I am proud to be a part of this movement and to get to know each of you as time goes on.  I am Lj, often seen at GA meetings in a sock monkey hat, proving the point that protest can be fun!  Yes, I am the one who snorts when she laughs! I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years and will be celebrating my 50th birthday on 11-13.   I also do energy healing, so if you need to talk to someone or some energy work while I am around on the Plaza, please feel free to ask for it.  I am committed to non-violence in behavior and speech and see my role in this movement as maintaining a heart-centered vibration of love for all as well as standing tall with all of you in peaceful protest.  I am a writer, mostly of poetry and personal essays and believe in the power of creativity to create social change.  I would like to gather a group of lightworkers to be a presence on the Plaza, to lead spiral dances and drum circles, meditations, and just keep the vibration at a high level.  I guess I would like to help nurture the spiritual selves of all involved, especially the wonderful people who are camping out on the Plaza.  I am so grateful for you!  Please let me know if and how I can help.  I will get back to you all at a GA meeting when I have gathered a group prepared to support you.  Love to you all!
